Greetings, Friends!

I’m Nancy Dunahee, Secretary to Living River Quartet. They say that when God closes a door, he opens a window. It seems to me that he opened four windows for me with LRQ and has given me a breath of fresh air with each one of them.

In the spring of 1993, I found that my life had taken an unexpected turn and I found myself trying to find out what God’s plan was to be for my life going forward. He found me a new job, a little house that I love, and a surprise that I never would have imagined. In the window of the local Christian book store, was a poster for a Living River concert near by. I went by myself and really found comfort in the music I heard. It was a small place - just a few people in a Christian coffee house. During their break, the guys came down to chat with me. I remember specifically, Rich, (who was usually quite shy) talked to me and has said that I looked so sad. I found new friends that night.

I went to another concert or two and soon, they asked me if I’d like to help with the product table. They even invited me to come along on the bus with them to a concert - well, that’s how it all began. As members have changed, and I’ve acquired various duties for the group, it became obvious that this was indeed in God’s plan for me.

Today, as LRQ Secretary, I’m honored to handle the schedule, bookings, mail lists, letters, phone calls and whatever is needed. I’ve been blessed beyond measure to be a part of the Living River family and I thank our Father each time we get together as He blesses our ministry and watches over us as we travel. Along with Rich, Perry, Bryan and Jeff, the loves of my life are my daughter, Robyn, son, Bob, grandson, Nicholas and granddaughter, Kaila.

Thank you, Jesus - you have made my life complete indeed!

We are instructed to "pray without ceasing," 1 Thessalonians 5:17. And we know that there is power in prayer. A few years ago we started a prayer box at our product table. Those at our concerts are instructed to place prayer requests in the box, and then I share them with the others in the group as well as others on our mailing list (if desired). That way we can be in prayer for each other.
